Start near Hyde Street and ride toward the Ferry Building for a classic San Francisco moment.

The Powell–Hyde line starts two blocks from the hotel, and the first stretch is the one postcards are made of — hold the outside rail as the car crests Russian Hill and the bay opens up behind you.
Stay on to the end of the line, then wander down to the Ferry Building as the lights come on along Market Street. Grab something from the food hall and take the historic F-line streetcar back toward the wharf.
