Locals treat Aquatic Park as the neighborhood's front porch. The little crescent beach faces due west, so on clear evenings the sun drops straight toward the Golden Gate — bring a jacket, the breeze picks up fast.

You'll usually spot Dolphin Club swimmers cutting across the cove, buskers near the Hyde Street pier, and plenty of steps to sit on. Grab a hot drink on the way and stay for the afterglow — the sky keeps going twenty minutes after the sun is gone.
