The Ferry Plaza Farmers Market fills the front and back plazas of the Ferry Building every Saturday morning. Autumn is grape, apple and late-tomato season; Hog Island shucks oysters at the back, the porchetta line forms before nine, and there is coffee and pastry from a dozen stalls. Arrive by 10 AM for the full selection and take breakfast to the bayside benches. Free entry, vendors take cards. The F-line streetcar runs straight there from the wharf in about 15 minutes.
